Coaching Healing is Justice Philanthropy has chronically underfunded, and thus discounted, the leadership of Black, Indigenous, and people of colorespecially those most proximate not only to the problems, but also to the solutions. I'm raising money to pay for my coaching certification program. Jamilah has worked and served in various roles to promote racial justice and healing. We are committed to economic justice and creating spaces where we can support equitable access to our programs while compensating our Black leadership well for holding the labor and love of this sacred work. What is my relationship to collaborative work centered around healing? The fellowship is designed to generate knowledge, deepen healing practice, build organizing skills, strengthen relationships and exchange strategies among leaders who work on issues of healing, social justice, and liberation for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. Amanda currently is the Program Director withInsight Garden Program, a 48-week eco-literacy, permaculture gardening and "inner gardening" curriculum offered to incarcerated adults and youth. Healing Justice provides a framework within which we organize to end all forms of state violence while nurturing our communities leadership capacities and healing generations of trauma by utilizing healing modalities indigenous to our communities.
